Dinner With Shakespeare In Antalya

Today’s blog is all about the love of Shakespeare.
Shakespeares is termed as a bistro, it
hosts both a restaurant and a bar. It is situated in Turkey and hosts venues
all over the country. The one we visited was located in Antalya, which we came
across on our summer holiday last year.
Shakespeares became our “go to” place;
after we found this place we literally dined there all day, every day. Eating
abroad can be funny for me, depending what oils or ingredients are used in the
meal I can become unwell due to my IBS.
Whenever
I am abroad I always like to go out to a different place each night and taste
the local cuisine but in Antalya we stuck to Shakespeares constantly. We originally
visited Shakespeares for dinner one
night and it was just beautiful, it was also very romantic. The temperature was
roasting, it had been a beautiful day, music was playing and the place was
jumping. We had a candlelit dinner outside, letting us take in the real
atmosphere of the venue. Shakespeares
is such a welcoming place and the atmosphere was very lively plus Turkey is so
cheap compared to our currency, which made the experience more enjoyable.
We
had such a good time at Shakespeares
we decided to go back the next morning and try the breakfast options and from
then on we were hooked. It’s hard for everyone going abroad, you have to adapt
to different temperatures and the different types of cuisine, and it can be
hard to find something from the menu you like. The dinner menu was delicious
but the breakfast menu was even better. I think I had pancakes for breakfast
every time we visited. I was introduced to Turkish tea J; it became my favourite drink
of the holiday.

Shakespeares has been established since
2001 and has ten venues opened, serving across Turkey. Over the week of our
holiday we were lucky enough to meet the manager of the restaurant and he could
not have been a truer gent. He looked after us and made sure we were satisfied
with our food. He also told us Shakespeares
likes to focus on the quality of the products served in the restaurant,
ensuring the highest of customer satisfaction has been reached.

Shakespeares holds such happy memories
for Mr Sk and I, it was our ‘date night/day” place of the holiday. Every day we
had breakfast at Shakespeares before
sunbathing all day and possibly going back for dinner at night, it was just
perfect. Shakespeares was like my
“go to”, I had finally found somewhere I could eat on holiday that wasn’t
making me unwell.

It’s
far to travel but if you ever visit Antalya make sure you have breakfast,
dinner or both at Shakespeares.
