The Night We Went To Chin Chin

The restaurant I’m going to discuss tonight is a little gem called Chin Chin, hidden away at 4 & 6 Old Gartcosh Road, Gartcosh, North Lanarkshire G69 8EU. It’s heartbreaking to find out the restaurant doesn’t have an official website and uses a Facebook page to rely on for promotion. There is no website or other online platforms for the brand which is tragic with the place being such a pretty and professional  restaurant.

Chin Chin is a Chinese and oriental cuisine type of restaurant and I first came to know of it through a Groupon deal. Mr Sk’s parents had visited the venue through Groupon before and were so impressed with it they purchased a further Groupon deal for six of us to go. The night out allowed us to catch up with each other, which is difficult usually, when we all have busy schedules and different shifts. The restaurant is beautiful; it is completely different to other Chinese restaurants I have been to previously.

When you first enter the restaurant it looks tiny but the building extends further out the back. As you go into the back of the building you are greeted by very unique, colourful and beautiful décor. The place is so warm and inviting and the staff cannot help you enough. We were fortunate enough that Mr Sk’s parents knew the staff from previous times but the staff are so inviting and friendly to begin with. Throughout the night we were laughing and cracking jokes with them.

Our dinner was chosen from one of two menus. Buying the Groupon offer meant we chose from an allocated menu but the choices were never ending. The organisation certainly does prove itself against other competitor restaurants. Our food was roasting hot and served fresh, it was simply delicious and the overall experience I would recommend to anyone. I cannot wait to go back to Chin Chin once university is finished to have a treat night. The food options offered will suit everyone, fitting to all types of diets, even gluten free.

Its a down side for the restaurant not having social media or a website platform as this would increase their custom and profit dramatically. The presentation of the venue is different to the opposition, which helps the brand to stand out. In addition to this the friendly staff are simply a bonus, making the experience easier and more relaxing for consumers.
