Breakfast On The Sands, At The Ferry
|
Continuing
our adventures up in Dundee our next place to be discussed is The SandsRestaurant, also located in Broughty Ferry, Dundee.
The SandsRestaurant is also known as The Glass Pavilion. The SandsRestaurant hosts as the restaurant side to the venue whereas the “The Glass
Pavilion” becomes known as the venue side with consumers hiring the place out
for weddings and functions.
The SandsRestaurant sits itself on the beach front, right on the waterfront,
creating a beautiful setting before even setting foot into it. The pavilion
décor of the establishment is created from the 1930’s, with a glass front and
is one of Dundee’s most popular venues to hire.
The SandsRestaurant is located at the front of the building hosting a massive open
spaced, glass front which lets the sunshine in and from my own experience the
place is simply beautiful, it is out standing. To me this venue is the typical,
stereotype place you want to get up on a Sunday morning and head to for a
family brunch. We did exactly this and it was so relaxing (perfect for the
hangovers). It was also the perfect place to cure our hangovers, with hot
freshly cooked breakfast and coffee. I had the French toast with lots of cups
of sweet tea whilst Mr Sk had the full fried breakfast, rounded off with a
portion of jam and toast, just what we needed to cure our tiredness from the
night before.

The
place itself is a suitable size for large groups to enjoy breakfast whilst
looking out on to the beachfront. The atmosphere was friendly yet peaceful and
it was only a short distance in driving from where my brother stayed. We probably
could’ve walked but it was a Sunday- the day to be lazy J
